VALE Royal Borough Council's environmental officers have issued a warning to all nut allergy sufferers in Winsford and Middlewich.
During checks, packs of a new product, Cascade Toffee Ice Cream Dessert, made by Nestle Lyons Maid, was found to contain small pieces of hazelnuts that are not mentioned on the packaging.
Officers are carrying out checks to ensure all packs bearing the following quality code Mar/2000 l-8 272 on the best before end panel, are removed from local outlets.
If you are one of the very few people who experience an allergic reaction to hazelnuts then do not eat this produce. You can apply for a full refund by sending the end panel containing the above code to: Lyons Maid Cascade Ice Cream Recall, PO Box 205, York Y091 1XY.
