A MUM who got just £60 after losing her kidney has been given extra compensation of £250.
Housewife Lynette Adshead was disgusted with her first pay out, awarded after she received horrific injuries while playing football for Moss Farm Ladies.
Her boyfriend, Jamie Stanton, said: "The money is a bonus that we didn't expect - but it did cost me a lot of money to visit Lynette in hospital.
"But I'd like to know why we didn't get this money in the first place."
Lynette, who lives in Knutsford, needed emergency surgery after a painful tackle during a match in Liverpool last November.
The 25-year-old needed 13 pints of blood during a four-and-a-half hour operation which ended with doctors removing her right kidney.
But this week she said: "I'm not bothered about the money any more - I just want to try and put it all behind me."
A spokesman from Moss Farm's insurers, Royal and Sunalliance, said: "The extra money is for hospitalisation and was not paid out originally because we didn't have all the evidence we needed."
