SEVERAL allotment holders attended a meeting of Nantwich Town Council on Monday to find out the latest situation concerning their plots.
A row arose last year over who actually owned the Nixons Row allotments, the town or borough council, after planning permission was given to Linden Homes to build on part of the land.
Town clerk Keith Burton said he had consulted counsel whose opinion was comprehensively in the town council's favour.
A meeting to discuss the situation is likely to take place with the borough council in the next few months.
