AN ANNUAL booksale held to raise money for a Methodist Museum is set to be transported to Dorset.
Church officials in Poole have asked the team behind the successful sale, at Mow Cop, to run one for them and all proceeds will go to the Museum of Primitive Methodism at Englesea Brook.
Reverend Stephen Hatcher, one of the organisers, said: "People in Poole have heard all about the museum at Englesea Brook and wish to do something to show support.
"They have a church situated in the heart of the shopping area on the High Street which is always thronged with people when the doors are open for various events.
"We are delighted and grateful that they have chosen to offer their facilities to us."
The people of Poole have collected about 3,000 books for the sale on Saturday March 13 and Englesea Brook will add a similar number of volumes from its own stock.
Gifts of further books to go to Poole or be sold subsequently at Mow Cop would be welcome, please ring 01782 810109.
The museum will be open to the public from Thursday, April 1, until the end of November. In August it will open every day except Monday.
