COUNCIL Tax bills are set to rise by 5.8 per cent this year across Crewe and Nantwich.
The borough council's special policy committee will be meeting today, Thursday, to discuss the budget for the year.
The council tax, without parish council precepts, is set to be £858.82.
Cheshire County Council and the Police Authority have finalised their budgets and precepts for the coming year at £697.17 and £56.28 respectively.
The borough council needs to raise £3,794,569 in council tax which translates to £105.37 for Band D properties.
The total average amount is an increase of 5.8 per cent on £811.91 for the current year compared to a rise of 16.5 per cent last year.
Residents in Crewe Green will pay the highest tax this year at £881.17 with Rope homeowners facing the lowest bill, including parish council additions, at £861.97.
In Nantwich the Town Council precept was set last month at £15.03 and Council Tax in the town itself will be £873.85.
Across the villages the tax will range from the standard £858.82 in Buerton to £875.03 in neighbouring Audlem.
Congleton Borough Council also meets today, Thursday, to discuss the council tax arrangements. this year.
Sandbach residents are set to receive bills for £860.83 with Moston paying £858.57, Hassall on £852.40, Brereton on £854.48 and Betchton on £853.40.
