COULD I through your columns, offer a little advice to the 'planners' and 'inspectors' regarding housing development?
My plan is to shut Bank Park, cut down the trees, take down the Golden Gates and build houses on it, including the town hall lawns, right up to the town hall itself. Shock? Horror? Not "featureless?"
Perhaps not, but we in the outskirts face a real possibility of our recreational land being used this way. Perhaps the 'planners' could push this through with the help of their builder friends, there seems to be limitless power and influence there.
Maybe in the future, when everything is concreted over, Bank Park will be used this way. It won't be missed as we will be sitting in traffic jams into town all day. That is if we can get our cars off our drives.
