HE GUARDIAN reports the comments by Clr. Gartside about the Labour Council budget. They have a distinct whiff of smugness, tinged with arrogance. No mention of the sale of the waste disposal business because it was making too much money! Or the enormous amounts of money being borrowed by the council to go unitary. Or the amounts being spent on council ego trips such as the Wolves "rescue" plan. We now have involvement in the Peace Initiative/Project.
There should be more plain statements, not the spin, hype and management speak which is a feature of the Town Hall these days. Let us know the facts.
