EAGLE Sports are now clear leaders in the Warrington Soccer League Premier Division.
They overturned Daten 5-1 and their cause was helped as their nearest challengers Whiston Cross and Crosfields battled out a 4-4 draw.
Riverplate came up trumps at Moorfield 3-1. Ian Whitfield netted another double and John McColl fired in a screamer from 30 yards.
The big match in Division One saw Fearnhead lose their unbeaten record by crashing at home 4-0 to Moore Utd. Two sets of brothers did the demolition job as Tony and David Cunningham's efforts were complimented with efforts from Kris and Scott Taylor.
Lockers defeated Irlam Steel 3-2 in Division Two. The Darbyshire brothers were the prominent figures with Tony grabbing two and Gary one.
The big result in the reserve sections was Halton Borough's 5-1 win at leaders Moorfield Reserves. On the goal trail for Mick Mullea's outfit were Paul Greason, Michael Higginson, Mark Griffiths, Steven Quirk and Paul Butler. These two teams meet again this weekend in the Rylands Cup.
