Jobs are to be axed at Greenalls' head office as part of a £5 million cost cutting package.
Up to 30 jobs, spread across divisions of the leisure giant's Greenalls Avenue HQ, will be lost - and further redundancies have not been ruled out.
Another 40 technicians' jobs, including some in Warrington, will be phased out as a result of the group's Inn Partnership pub chain being taken over by Japanese investment bank Nomura in a £370 million deal.
But the company has stressed these losses had been expected by employees for some time.
A Greenalls spokeswoman said: "We would expect these 30 jobs principally to come from Warrington."
"There will be a further 40 people going from the technical service division.
"We are very sorry to be making people redundant - these are people we have worked with for a long time and have a high regard for."
Efforts will be made to find affected staff new jobs through employment counselling, added the spokeswoman.
The cuts will also affect the purchasing, distribution and support services across the group.
