GREENWOOD Star Alarms and Martin Dawes shared the spoils 2-2 in an evenly contested clash in the
Warrington Sunday Soccer League's Division One.
Keith Hartley opened the scoring for Dawes with a header before Dave Turner equalised for Greenwood. Substitute Dave Grindley put Dawes ahead against but Dave Turner snatched a dramatic equaliser in the dying seconds.
Marquis claimed winning points when they beat league leaders Cheese 5-1 in Division Three thanks to strikes from Ian Wilkinson, three, Steve Smith and veteran Colin Jones.
Woolston OB staged an amazing recovery from two goals down when three substitutes, Paul Barnett, Phil Wilson and Steve Akran, came on and all scored to beat BT Rolatruc 4-2 in Division Four. Darren Higgins was also on target for Woolston.
Stocks were overwhelmed 7-1 by Tyrewise. The damage was done by Keith Rooney, three, Paul Quigg, Steve Atkinson, Steve Maddocks and Pat McBride.
General Elliott returned to winning ways when they defeated Gas Social 5-2 thanks to goals by Mark Field, Geoff Riseley, Danny Chadwick and a brace from Andy Morton.
The points were shared in the 2-2 draw between Callands and Manor Farm in Division Five. Peter Lane and Mark Geritas were on target for Manor Farm but Callands hit back through Jim Conn and Dave Roberts, who scored on the rebound from a penalty initially saved by the 'keeper.
