POPULAR Warrington Thai boxer Warren Brown is gearing up for his 'Italian job'.
The Winwick 20-year-old is aiming to steal the world title off champion Carlo Barbutto in his own back yard later this month.
It is the title shot the Warrington Thai Boxing Club star has been craving for and now his coach Dave Jackson has let him off the reins and is telling him to 'go for it'.
Jackson says: "We have to remember Warren is only 20. He has been No.1 contender for several months and I have probably held back.
"But he has fought everyone there is in this country and beaten them and even the French champion pulled out of fighting him last week in an international bout in the midlands.
"Warren's had 24 wins from 24 fights now and he is capable of winning this one too even though it will be at 64.5 kilos instead of his usual 61 kilos.
"But if Warren loses, so what? He has so much time on his side. If he lost he would then have a yardstick to work to.
"But going to Italy to fight in front of a partizan crowd will not bother him. He has pro-boxed overseas and if he is booed when he enters the ring he loves it."
Little is yet known of the Italian, apart from he has defended his title once. Jackson is waiting for some video clips of the champion to arrive.
The fight will take place on March 28.
