Colne 3
Tetley Walker 3
COLNE'S Holt House ground provided a heavy pitch which did not lend itself to open flowing football as both sides cancelled each other out in North Western Trains League Division Two.
The home side took the lead midway through the first half but were in front for less than 60 seconds as Stuart Clay levelled the scores.
A depleted Tetley Walker took the lead twice in the second half only to be pegged back twice.
Lee Newbould opened the second half scoring midway through the half.
Colne equalised with 15 minutes to go before Walker's player manager Jimmy Drewery left the subs bench to give his side a 3-2 lead with less than 10 minutes to play.
Colne snatched a share of the points as the game was coming to a close when a shot which was going well wide was deflected into the Walker net.
Team: Medland, D. Plant, Roberts, Austin, Maher, Preidt, Clay, Farrelly, Healey, Newbould, Gwyther. Subs: Drewery, Jones, Street.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Tetley Walker are at home to second placed Squires Gate, kick-off 3pm.
