IT is a massive cup weekend for some of the town's other premier sports clubs as well as Warrington Wolves.
Warrington Town will be playing the second leg of their semi-final in the North Western Trains League Second Division Trophy tomorrow, Saturday, at Curzon Ashton, kick-off 3pm.
Town have a goalkeeping problem going into the game with three goalkeepers being unavailable and it is hoped the reserve team's goalkeeper will recover from an injury in time. See report on page 54.
Woolston Rovers continue on the BNFL National Cup glory trail at home to Leeds side Queens tomorrow, Saturday.
It is the only honour in the amateur Rugby League game that Woolston have failed to win and it is the only remaining chance they have of silverware this season.
White Rose League outfit Queens defeated Hull Dockers 40-10 at home last week in the fourth round to earn the right to visit Bennett's Rec, where the game will kick-off at 2pm.
It is hoped influential full back Peter Livett will be back tomorrow after hand and back injuries.
Second rower Stewart Cash injured a back at work but it is hoped he will be fit to play while the two Australians, Duane Millard and Greg Marshall, should both be available too.
