A NATIONAL campaign against motherhood has been launched by the Cats' Protection charity.
The scheme, deliberately aimed to coincide with Mothering Sunday, is encouraging cat owners to 'join the fight against feline motherhood' by having their pets neutered.
A spokesman for Cats Protection said: "There has been a massive explosion in the cat population and the harsh reality is that unless owners and breeders take a responsible attitude, an even greater number of cats will be abandoned and may succumb to disease, starvation and culling."
The charity will even help with the cost of neutering the cats. For more details call 411160.
