PET CARE in Warrington has been launched in to cyberspace with the town's first Inter-vet.

'Net vet Rosie McKenzie has jumped on the information super highway to give advice to worried pet owners from across the borough and beyond.

From hedgehogs' dietary habits to hamsters with sleep in their eyes, animal lovers can ask her for her expert opinion on their pet problems.

Rosie, who runs a surgery in Lymm, has teamed up with the village's own web pag+e to provide the unique service.

"I've wanted to do an 'Ask The Vet' type column for a while and the Internet is a great medium and also the latest way communicating.

"The site is a good opportunity for pet owners to ask general advice about their animals.

"It could be a minor point or something more unusual, but people can ask anything without feeling embarrassed or that they are wasting the vet's time," she said.

If cases sound too serious Rosie will advise the owner to take their animal to a surgery for a full diagnosis.

She hopes the site will be used by children to find out more about their household pets or for school projects.

She added: "The main idea is for it to be fun, informative and educational and for people to know more about their pets."

If your pooch is a problem or your cat can't stop coughing, drop the Vet on the 'Net a line at http://www.lymm.net/lac
