LAUGHING yobs have been blamed for spraying racist graffiti on a Grappenhall bridge.
Now thanks to the GUARDIAN and a vigilant dog walker, the real culprits have been revealed as two men aged in their late 20s.
The witness spotted the men at the Bradshaw Lane railway bridge, but didn't realise what they were doing at the time. But after reading the GUARDIAN'S front-page story he contacted police immediately.
Sergeant Mike Jones, from Stockton Heath police, said: "It appears that it was grown men and not youths are responsible.
"After spraying the slogan they drove off in a small cream van. We would appeal to anyone else who may have spotted them in the area at about 3pm on Thursday 25," he said.
