PAMPERED pooches, groomed gun dogs and tidy terriers from Warrington will be travelling down to Birmingham this weekend for Crufts, the prestigious dog show.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes will be taking part with their trainers, and among those making the trip will be the Robb family of Appleton, who breed prize-winning Papillons.
Mother and son team Irene and Glenn will be hoping to capitalise on their success last year, when one of their dogs was highly commended.
"We're looking forward to it, it's always a good day out," said Irene.
The family have been breeding Papillons for over seven years, and started because a very young Glenn became fascinated with the breed. He was eight years old when he got his first Papillon, and now the family have got four of the fluffy dogs.
Crufts started yesterday, Thursday, with the Gun Dogs, and carries on with Working and Pastoral today, Friday, then Terrier and Hound, and Toy and Utility.
The Robbs will be travelling down to show their dogs on Sunday.
