Plettac NSG Runcorn Sunday League
IN the Plettac Runcorn Sunday League Premier Division, Wellie were defeated 2-3 at home against Burma Star.
There was nothing to separate Norton Arms and Old Transporter the game ended all square at 1-1.
Leaders of the First Division, Golden Wonder gave up home advantage as they travelled to Whiston to play their fixture with Thatto Heath Railway after their ground was deemed unfit, but they came home with the more important points after winning 3-1, Stanton (2), and Holland grabbing the goals that gave them the points to remain at the top.
Second place High Leigh went 4-0 down away to Travellers Rest after goals from McKieran (2), Chesworth and Brown gave the home side the advantage.
It was a different story in the second-half as the visitors hit back with goals from Edwards, Francis and two from Hughes, one from the penalty spot to give the visitors a share of the points as the game ended 4-4.
Skate cracked one in from 40 yards to give Union Tavern the points as they defeated Weston Point Seniors 1-0.
Hanling was Simms Cross' Mom as well as their lone scorer but his efforts were all in vain as they went down 1-2 at home against Hough Green.
In the Third Division High Leigh Reserves had a 1-0 win over Roosters, thanks to a goal from Robinson.
Cosgrove, Outten and Dolan all scored for Golden Wonder Reserves as they defeated Forresters 1-3 away from home.
Railway had goals from Cox, Lomax and Baker in their 3-3 draw with Canalside Athletic.
In the Bob Orme Challenge Cup First Round, Todd Dynamoes had goals from Bailey (4), Moore and Armstrong as they defeated FC Admiral 6-2.
In the Second Round, Castle and Cherry Sutton went to penalties with the latter winning out 3-5.
Halewood Labour had no such trouble they defeated Riverside 0-6.
In the Harry Tabb Trophy Quarter-Finals, St Andrews had the Dobinson brothers on target as Ian (3) and William (1) helped to defat Bridge Timber with goals from Ellis and Jones 4-2.
Columbas Old Boys took the lead against Red Admiral and held it well into the second-half.
Until substitute Terry Fox put his mark on the game scoring three times to win the game for the visitors 1-3.
This is the fifth time this season that Terry has scored a hat-trick.
