A GROUP of bobby dazzlers took centre stage at the Winsford Civic Hall on Sunday and Monday night for the 20th annual 'Kops and Kids' show.
Officers from the police's Congleton and Vale Royal Division joined children from local schools for the fundraising variety bash, celebrating two decades of the fun-filled project.
Six schools took part - Oaklands Special School, Wimboldsley Primary, Grange Primary, High Street Primary, Verdin High and Woodford Lodge.
Highlights included guitar man Sgt Howard Davison, who got the show into full swing when he performed a rendition of the Ralph McTell classic 'Streets Of London', and sax star PC Guy Lister, who also added to the musical magic.
Of the schools, High Street School pupils danced to the tune of the Pied Piper in their version of the popular play, and Wimboldsley pupils sang songs from the 70s.
As well as providing fun and laughter, the show raised £800 for the police's community involvement fund which provides donations to many local groups and organisations.
PC Pete Dutton, who organised the show, was delighted with the response from everyone involved.
He said: "It was a huge success and the show was excellent, everyone enjoyed it.
"We sold 800 tickets for the opening night and a similar amount for Monday. Both were very well attended. It was particularly special as it was the 20th year we put the show on."
