SHIPMATES who once served on the destroyer HMS Dainty are being sought for a reunion later this year.
HMS Dainty was a Daring class ship, launched in 1950, commissioned in 1953 and decommissioned for breaking up in 1969.
Peter Hillman, who founded the HMS Dainty Association in 1993, believes that several people who served on the ship may now be living in the Winsford and Middlewich area.
Mr Hillman has organised a reunion for the weekend of October 8-11 this year at Babbacombe, near Torquay.
Anyone who served on HMS Dainty and would like to attend the event can contact Mr Hillman at 15, East Mead, Pagham, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, PO21 4QT, tel: 01243 265901.
