To underline his potential the 10-year-old Forest Street Primary School pupil from Hartford won a 100m race against runners as much as two years older than him on Saturday.
He clocked a time of 14.5 seconds in an Under 13s race at Colwyn Bay to beat, amongst others, his older brother Paul. Twelve-year-old Paul was second in 15.2 seconds.
Andrew, currently ranked in the top six for his age in the country, is now preparing for his second outdoor season for club, Halton & Frodsham Harriers.
