The club's director of football was on hand to witness the reaction to the chief executive's talk which underlined the club's financial predicament.
Bond said: "Mike's speech went down very well and there was a great reaction to his plea for pledges."
Also at the meeting was former chairman Tom Stelfox, who made an impassioned plea to supporters before confirming his own pledge of £1,000 for life membership.
However, the club is still some £30,000 short of its target. There are just three weeks to go until Mr Worthington meets with the club's creditors.
Bond added: "There is always going to be uncertainty but I think the message seemed to be that people are prepared to make sure this club doesn't go under. This club's future is now in the hands of the fans."
WITTON caretaker boss Eddie Bishop made two signings last week as he continues to bolster his squad.
Tall striker Nathan Comley-Excell has arrived on a month's loan from Altrincham with a view to a permanent move. Left-sided winger Lee Cox, who played for Albion in pre-season, has also been signed from Radcliffe.
Andy Lovelock's two-month loan spell ended on Saturday. The winger has now returned to Crewe.
