WORK is due to start next week to pave the way for a new-look reception and payments area at Biddulph Town Hall.
Builders move in next Monday to start internal alterations at the town hall, part of a scheme to transform the building into a so-called ''one stop shop.''
The new facility will make a range of council services more accessible for more local people, and is due to open by mid-April.
The internal work will see a number of services move to the first floor, including the district council's payment facility and the county's social services department.
All the relocated services will be clearly signposted, and visitors can also seek help from staff or via the intercom in the entrance hall.
