CONGLETON MP Ann Winterton has been putting her brushwork to the test for a special painting competition.
Mrs Winterton was invited to Rode Heath playgroup on Monday to paint a picture based on the theme of a childhood memory.
Her work of art will be judged alongside other entries from her fellow MPs at a national event staged by the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
Mrs Winterton was invited to Rode Heath to paint her picture and see the work of a group which recently won a government grant of £840, which was used to pay rent, wages and other running costs.
The MPs' paintings will be judged on May 12 when pre-school staff and parents across the country gather in London to celebrate their achievements and to campaign to raise awareness of the work they do.
