Widnes u13s 77
Sandbach u13s 0
A TOUCH of spring brought the best out of Widnes as they completely destroyed the Cheshire Cup holders.
The game produced 13 tries, several the products of quality play and excellent ball distribution.
Top drawer performances came from Anders and Langdon in the pack and the towering Ferris and Gill on the wings.
Sandbach, to their credit, tried their best but Widnes in this form were unplayable.
The second-half pairing of Spencer at stand-off and Glover at inside-centre was a treat to watch.
A final flourish brought a cheeky flapper conversion from Langdon, adding yet another string to his bow.
Try scorers, Barrett (4), Critchley (2), McGreevey (2), Glover (2), Wavell, Loughnane, Moss.

WIDNES u11s won the Fair Play Trophy and came runners-up in the Waterloo Rugby Union Tournament, after being narrowly beaten by Mold 12-0 in the final.
Widnes knocked out Waterloo, Leeds and Ormskirk in the pool games, scoring five tries and one against.
The most satisfaction for Widnes came in the final pool game against Waterloo, when the Widnes forwards, Pealing, Farrow, Morton, Carr and White put on a pulsating performance to beat the host team.
Tries from Adam Rowlands and Andrew White converted by Maher, condemned Waterloo to an early bath.
Mold were the stronger team in the final, scoring two tries in an entertaining game after Widnes had a try controversially disallowed.

Waterloo u10s 25
WIDNES started this competition against last year's winners of the John Worral Trophy, with definitely their worst performance of the season.
Waterloo playing at times quite majestically ran in easy winners.
This team would indeed go on to win the trophy for the second year running.

HAVING been given a thrashing in the first match Widnes would redeem themselves with much improved play by the forwards Neill, Eyres and Hawkins, all of which scored tries in the first-half.
The second-half tries from Myers, Neill and two from Wood sealed a convincing victory, but for some sloppy handling the score could have been much higher.

Tarleton u10s 20
WIDNES defended like tigers especially Wood, tackling anything that moved, except the referee, if had Widnes may have had a chance!
This match was much closer than the final score suggests with Widnes matching Tarleton in all departments.
The whole squad deserves praise for battling against all the odds.
THE Wids Kids u9s travelled to the city of York for their first ever tour, kitted out in new tracksuits donated by assistant coach Kevin Martindale's company MPPS.
Three games took place against Selby (30-5), Old Brod's (15-0) and Moortown (10-10).
Highlights of the tour included Dane Boyle's tackling against Selby, the whole squads' disciplined display against Old Brod's, James Morris and John Forrest's fine performance against Moortown and Ben Owen scoring all the tourists tries over the weekend.
The Widnes club enjoyed the hospitality of our Yorkshire neighbours, particularly at Selby where the children took part in an after-match "boat race" (with lemonade).
The tour ended with the presentation of trophies to the children, kindly donated by Richard Owen.
