LAST Saturday we drove home from town (it was a rare visit to Warrington town centre because living in Winwick we find it difficult to get there due to the traffic!) but as we approached Winwick, what do we behold? The eye sore that is the B&Q developments, together with all the litter it now has to offer. At the front of the landscaped grounds was a sea of litter and rubbish, not a pretty sight for people returning to Winwick or visiting the area.
I feel that since the B&Q site was forced upon us, they should at least appoint someone to go out periodically and clear the front of the grounds of litter. I am sure they are making enough money, judging by the huge car park that is full every weekend, to be able to afford a member of staff to clean up their grounds.
If we have to suffer this superstore, at least let it be an environmentally aware superstore and appreciative of the residents' concerns who have to live nearby.
If they can't clean their act up now, what will it be like when the fast food restaurant is in place?
