Warrington Borough Council's Council Tax will increase by 4.3% in April 1999.
This compares favourably with the average increase in other authorities. For example, the English Counties will increase by 8.4%, the Metropolitan Authorities 5.7% and London Authorities 6.5%. Cheshire County Council will increase its Council Tax by 5.9%.
I believe the figures demonstrate the prudent management of finances at Warrington Borough Council.
