A MOTORCYCLIST died and a 56-year Warrington woman was trapped in a car after a horror crash on Mothering Sunday.
Firefighters from Stockton Heath cut the woman free from a red Audi car, which was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda bike on the A559 Northwich Road near Antrobus.
Police have confirmed motorcyclist Paul Farnell, aged 28, from Stretford, suffered multiple injuries in the smash and died later. Doctors say a 30-year-old pillion passenger on the bike, from Stretford, is in a critical condition.
The Warrington woman, who has not been named, was a front seat passenger in the car and was released from Warrington Hospital yesterday, Monday, after being treated for shock and bruising.
The car's driver and another passenger escaped unharmed.
