AN ELDERLY couple escaped uninjured after crashing their car in Nantwich town centre on Tuesday.
The blue Ford Escort shattered the front window of the Special Days card shop in Pepper Street after the driver, a 90-year-old man, lost control.
Police Constable Graham Hague, who attended the incident, said the driver and passenger were a little shaken up by the incident.
"He was driving the automatic car when he caught the accelerator and crashed into a lamppost and wedged between the post and the shop," he said.
