The 30-year-old from Hartford lost a three round bout in the Isle of Man on points to Liverpool's Peter Lynch.
He did receive the consolation of the fight receiving a standing ovation and being declared the bout of the night, but for the former British Thai boxing super-middleweight champion it wasn't enough.
He said: "He knocked me down in the opening round for a standing eight count but I got back into it, forcing a standing eight on him in the last round. It was a really good battle and a lot of people were telling me afterwards that I should have won."
Mankee now hopes to arrange a rematch with Lynch. His next planned bout is on April 22.
