WHEN Tony Fallows visits the battlefields of Arnhem in September, he'll be hoping to honour Northwich's wartime dead.
Tony, who grew up in Oak Street, now works at London's Heathrow Airport. His main hobby is visiting historical sites around the globe.
And he's making a special offer to anyone still living in Northwich who lost a relative at Arnhem during World War Two.
He said: "I'm aware there were Northwich men serving in the Cheshire Regiment who fought there, and I just wonder if their families would like me to bring back a photo of their relative's gravestone. I know a lot of people visit the graves, but there may be many from Northwich who don't get the chance to go over.
"If they give me a name, I'm very willing to go and track down the headstone."
The events at the Dutch town, were made famous in the film A Bridge Too Far. Hundreds of paratroopers were sent in to try and recapture a series of key bridges from the Germans, but the mission ended in tragic failure.
