A MAN, who got engaged to his sweetheart on Valentine's day, has been crushed to death in a freak accident.
Ian Griffiths' body was discovered underneath a skip which had fallen on top of him while he was working under the Thelwall Viaduct.
The 27-year-old, of Mayfield Drive, Cuddington, was working for Anchor Environmental Services when the tragedy happened.
He was well known as a windsurfing champion and was planning to marry his 21-year-old girlfriend Adele Grove.
This week his parents paid tribute to their only child.
