TEENAGER Simon Thornley and Jimmy Evans destroyed high-flying Styal with three clinical strikes in the opening 45 minutes at Manchester Road on Saturday.
With crucial points at stake, Knutsford's game plan, to attack from the outset, paid dividends as Styal cracked under the relentless pressure.
A great move involving Barnhill and Francis in the 20th minute was rewarded when Evans applied the finishing touch with a precision header.
Ten minutes later Thornley brilliantly slipped his marker to unleash a tremendous left foot shot into the far corner of the net from 18 yards. In the 40th minute Knutsford turned the screw once again with another immaculate finish by Thornley.
In the second-half, Styal threw everything at Knutsford but couldn't find a way through their brilliant defence.
