KNUTSFORD A's brilliant run of 16 straight wins came to an end of Saturday.
Their impressive sequence began in November - ironically against the same opposition.
But the struggling Timperley side deserved their moment of glory on Saturday.
In complete contrast to recent weeks the game was played in bright sunshine with both teams enjoying the superb conditions.
In the 17th minute, however, it was the visitors who were dancing in celebration.
Bartlett and Brown competed for a loose ball on the edge of the box, but Kartel's man got the final touch to flick the ball over the head of Roberts and into the empty net.
Brad Francis and Jimmy Evans linked up well and showed quality through the middle, but the day belonged to Knutsford's trio of schoolboys in the starting line-up together for the first time this season.
Gary Long, Simon Thornley and Matthew Stimpson were outstanding for the home team.
Long whipped some great crosses in from the left while Stimpson was turning his marker, George Wong, inside out on the opposite wing.
In the 35th minute, Knutsford equalised when Evans sent Thornley clear just inside the box.
Sixteen-year-old Thornley slipped his marker before squeezing a brilliant left foot shot into the net from the tightest of angles.
For all their hard work and creative play in the second-half, Knutsford had to settle for a draw.
On Saturday the 'A' team are at home to high-flying Styal FC for a crucial league game.
