MOVING home can provide some of the most stressful moments in someone's life - especially if you're burgled mid-move.
To try and prevent more people being home today, gone tomorrow, police have published a list of points to make moves crime free.
A new leaflet highlights the problems and offers advice to movers from choosing reputable removal companies to letting neighbours new and old that you're on the move.
Detective Constable Graham Hale said: "We don't have that much of a problem with this sort of crime but it's best to make people aware of the dangers to reduce the risk."
The home movers leaflet can be picked up from your nearest police station.
