WARRINGTON Male Voice Choir brought the town's Fleadh to an end and provided a fitting musical tribute on the day that work started on the Peace Centre.
The choir performed a song inspired by the Omagh bombing in front of special guests including the Deputy Chairman of Omagh District Council, Alan Rainey.
Others in the audience at the Parr Hall on Saturday included Susan McHugh of Dublin, who inspired 20,000 people to gather together in Ireland to make their feelings known just days after the Warrington bombings; Peace Campaigner Pat Campbell of Belfast, and Wendy Doherty, who 25 years ago was, as a baby, dragged from the rubble of a Dublin bombing which killed her mother and unborn sister.
Choir spokesman Bob Williams said: "It was a great night. When I asked everyone to give a special welcome to the guests, the applause was amazing."
