Tetley Walker 5
Oldham Town 0
TETELY Walker refound their winning ways when they hit five goals past bottom of the table Oldham Town at Long Lane - but the score could have been much more.
Midfielder Justin Farrelly opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he drove home from eight yards.
Karl Jones added the second 13 minutes later when he outpaced the Oldham defence to win the race to Tony Plant's delightful through ball.
Despite dominating the game Walker had to wait until the 70th minute for their third goal.
The impressive Jones ended a solo run into the visitors' area with a low shot into the net.
Jones, who was a constant thorn in Oldham's side, was denied a deserved hat-trick four minutes later by a brilliant reaction save by Oldham's 'keeper.
But he was unable to stop Paul Gwyther turning in a Steve Roberts cross with a powerful shot from just inside the area 10 minutes later.
Walker's leading scorer Tony Plant completed the rout with a headed goal from a last minute corner.
Team: McCormack, Roberts, Smith, Maher, Trantum, Jones, Farrelly, Preidt, T. Plant, Clay, Healey. Subs: Gwyther, Street, D. Plant.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Tetley travel to second from bottom Blackpool Mechanics for a North Western Trains League Division Two game, kick-off 3pm.
