WARRINGTON Wolves have announced they are to have a special family day at Wilderspool.
Families are being invited in a reduced-price offer to the ground on Bank Holiday Monday, May 3, to watch Warrington Wolves play Sheffield Eagles.
Two adults and two children will have seats in the main Brian Bevan stand, have a hot dog and soft drink each, watch the pre-match entertainment and the Super League game itself for £25 - approximately half of the normal price.
The Wolves have mailshot every house in Warrington this week with leaflet application forms to notify families of the offer.
Warrington have confirmed partnerships with Saracens Rugby Union Club and Parramatta Eels this week, which could lead to player sharing exchanges.
Saracens wing forward Alex Bennett has played twice for Warrington's under 21s over the past seven days. The 23-year-old has played for Orrell, England Students and England B in Union. He has returned to full fitness after injuries but has been unable to get into the Saracens' form team. (See Peter Deakin column on page 63).
Warrington have no game this weekend. Their next fixture is at Salford Reds on Good Friday, kick-off confirmed to be 3pm and not 7.30pm.
It will be an Easter double bill with Warrington entertaining Super League newcomers Gateshead Thunder at Wilderspool on Easter Monday, April 5, kick-off 3pm.
Prop Gary Chambers injured his thumb against Castleford on Sunday but the injury did not need an x-ray. There is an element of doubt, however, on him being fit for next week.
