MORE than 100 peace marchers walked from Liverpool to Warrington last Saturday to lay wreaths at the site of the Bridge Street bombing.

Community Peace Walkers joined civic leaders and peace workers for a special service held at Liverpool Roman Catholic Cathedral.

There, candles were lit by the relatives of bomb victims from Warrington, Dublin, Belfast and Omagh.

The procession then marched to Warrington, where they passed the site of the peace centre just as Mo Mowlem turned the first sod.

Arriving at Bridge Street, the walkers laid wreaths and offered prayers at the spot where Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball died six years ago.

The Community Peace Walkers are one of the groups that make up the Warrington-Ireland Reconciliation Enterprise (WIRE).
