NORTHERN Ireland Secretary Mo Mowlam returned to Warrington on Saturday to turn the first sod at the site of the town's international peace centre.
Dr Mowlam joined Colin and Wendy Parry, peace walkers and dignitaries at the Sankey Way site on the sixth anniversary of the Bridge Street bombing.
The minister paid tribute to the generosity and courage of the people of Warrington before officially commencing building work on the £2.5 million centre.
