SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Rose McCulloch has been enjoying the summer sunshine in a newly-created garden at her school.
Rose is a pupil at Daven Primary in Congleton, which boasts a new infant playground featuring a walkway, circular bench and large flower planter.
Daven head Paul Tolley is also revamping the junior playground with a tiered area, benches, and trees and shrubs, which he hopes to plant in the autumn.
Both schemes cost £7,000, which has been raised through a range of PTA events including a sponsored quiz, Christmas and summer fairs and duck races, the 1999 race raising £500.
''The infant scheme has created a quiet area for the children, and the junior project is aimed at creating more playground space,'' said Mr Tolley.
