SHOPKEEPERS and market traders in Biddulph are to be quizzed on plans to boost sales of local produce.
The Moorlands District Council is considering introducing a version of the Farmers Market, at which local farmers sell their own produce direct to the shopper.
However the council must first satisfy itself such a move would not damage other parts of the retail economy.
Councillors are being asked to agree to a questionnaire about the market plans being sent out to shopkeepers and market traders in Biddulph, Cheadle and Leek.
