TEENAGER Nicola Bradley has been reunited with her worried parents five days after failing to arrive at school.

Nicola, aged 14, is a pupil at Biddulph High School, and was spotted in Hanley town centre on Saturday by a member of her family.

She failed to turn up at the school last Tuesday morning, and her disappearance sparked a police call for the public's help in tracing her.

By Friday detectives at Staffordshire Police were becoming increasingly concerned for her safety, and issued a detailed description of the teenager in the hope the public might have seen her.

They issued a photograph of the teenager, and urged members of the public who had seen her to contact them.

Nicola comes from Hawthorne Gardens in Talke, and left her home at 6.30am last Tuesday to travel to school by bus.

She failed to turn up at Biddulph High, and it was believed she might have been seen getting on a bus which was going to Kidsgrove at 4pm the same day.

A police spokesman said that Nicola had returned home on Saturday after a member of her family 'came across her' in the centre of Hanley.

"That is the end of the matter as far as we are concerned," he said.

He would not comment on the reason Nicola failed to turn up at school or return home.
