POLICE are asking for witnesses to an incident which occurred at Spike Island at approximately 3.30pm last Thursday.
A lone 41-year-old woman was set upon by a white man, leaving her badly shaken and with injuries which required hospital treatment.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or can provide any information should contact Det Con Peter Merrill at Widnes CID on 01244 613734.
