I REFER to a recent letter regarding a village which has been awarded £19,000 from the National Lottery, to be used towards a green area for the enjoyment of nature and wildlife.
News of the award was published in at least two newspapers making it public knowledge.
As a member of the public I am interested to know how a project for the enjoyment and possible encouragement of wildlife can be squared with the fact that hosting a hunt meet is a direct invitation for people to hunt and kill wildlife in that same area.
To date, there has been no comment as to how this will be addressed.
