RYLANDS A remain top of Section A of the Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association Friday League after a 10-5 success at Farmers A.

Carl Armitage and Dave Penketh won 21-10 and Neil Hardy replied with a 21-4 card.

King and Queen A hold second spot after an 8-7 win at St. Oswalds A, John Bradshaw's 21-6 card taking the sweep. N. Dolan had the best home card with 21-9.

Brian Welsby and John Burley both won 21-9 for third-placed Grange A in a 9-6 win at GESM A. Cliff Boucher produced the same score for GESM. Wins of 21-6 and 21-7 by Billy Arnold and Bernard Carroll helped Alford A to an 11-3 win over Touchers A. Bill Farrell's 21-6 was the best reply.

Section D leaders Greenall drew 7-7 at Red Lion B, K. Critchley taking the sweep 21-6. Ron Banks replied with a 21-6 win. Richmond B's 11-3 win at Tetley B included K. Green's 21-1 card. C. Hall replied with a 21-8 win.

R. Sherratt's 21-4 win was the best of 12 Saracens A winners in a 14-0 success over Rylands B.

Woolston B won 11-4 at Post Office. F. Cornes' 21-8 was the best card and J. Oakes won 21-9 for Post Office.

Saracens B maintained their lead in Section E with a 9-6 win at Croft, Steve Wellbeloved's 21-5 win matched by Croft's J. White.

Fiddlers Ferry stay second after a 9-6 win at Brooklands B. J. Hawley's 21-10 win took the sweep.

T. Lager's 21-5 win helped Kings Club to a 10-5 win at Monk Sports B. Tom Hindley's 21-8 was the best reply.

J. Owen and P. Bates both won 21-8 as Smithys had a 12-3 success at St. Albans. R. Warburton, 21-8 and Joe Massey, 21-9, were Pierpoints B's best winners in the 10-5 win at Crosfields A.

Orford WM moved to the top of Section F after a 10-4 win over Alford B. T. Heaton took the sweep 21-3 and M. Clayton replied with a 21-8 card.

N. Murray won 21-6 as Eagle B defeated Grange C 8-6, with Brian Smith replying with a 21-8 card, while Harry Lockett's 21-9 win helped Plough to a 10-5 victory away from home against St. Josephs.

Tetley C won 9-6 at Rylands, D. T. Roarke's 21-11 taking the sweep. Crosfield B's 10-5 victory at Stag B included F. Dunne's 21-7win. R. Drury winning 21-3 was Stag's best card.

King and Queen A remain at the top of Section A of the Monday League, following their 13-1 win against Farmers A.

John Bradshaw, 21-3 and Adie Denton, 21-5, were their best winners.

A 21-7 win by Stuart Goodwin helped second-placed Rylands A to a 10-4 win over St. Oswalds A. George Denton replied with a 21-3 card.

Tetley A defeated Touchers A 10-4, Mark Tinning taking the sweep 21-4. Ivan Bellis replied with a 21-5 win.

Woolston A's 9-5 win against Grange A included George Brierley's 21-6 card. Brian Welsby's 21-4 was Grange's best card.

Mervyn Edwards and J. Brooks shared GESM A's sweep with 21-10 wins in a 9-5 success over Alford A. A 21-9 win by Bernard Carroll was the best reply.

Pierpoints A moved to the top of Section B after a 10-5 win at Touchers B, Mike Glass taking the sweep 21-8. Bill Rowson and Len Lawlor shared second placed Bulls Head B's sweep with 21-7 wins in a 12-2 win over Winwick B.

Monk Sports A's 10-4 win against Brooklands A included Terry Royle's 21-5 card. Mal Thompson replied with a 21-7 win.

Peter Begley's 21-7 win failed to save Grange B from a 9-6 defeat to Monks Hall. Carl Griffiths, 21-8 and Graham Cowell, 21-9, were the best winners for Monks.

Section C leaders Tetley D had an 11-4 win at St. Oswalds B, Ged Smith top scoring with 21-1. Second-placed Stag A had an impressive 11-4 win at third-placed Rylands B with Roy Clarke, John Heald and Bob Cox all winning 21-8.

Neil Goodrum, 21-4 and Ron Stockton, 21-5, were Red Lion B's best winners in an 11-3 win over King and Queen B. Mark Blackburn was a 21-6 winner for King.

L. Hamblett's 21-5 win took Winwick A's sweep in an 8-6 victory against Fiddlers Ferry.

Saracens A moved to the top of Section D after their 11-3 win over Woolston B included C. Sedgebeer's 21-5 sweep winner. J. Maher replied with a 21-4 card.

Transport A remain second with G. Gandy's 21-5 card their best in the 10-4 win against Tetley B.

Former leaders Eagle A dropped to third after an 11-3 defeat at fourth-placed Farmers, B. P. Yates' 21-4 and Eric Holloway's 21-6 were their best winners. S. Owen replied with a 21-6 win for Eagle.

E. Hughes' 21-4 win helped GESM B to a 10-5 success at British Rail. D. Ashton's 21-8 was the best home card.

George Howarth's 21-7 sweep winner failed to save OWM A from a 10-5 defeat by Post Office. S. Jackson, 21-3 and D. Taylor, 21-8, were their best winners.
