WESTON put on an excellent show of batting at home to City Works on Saturday.

Mike Chester scored his debut century for Weston and was ably assisted by Said Wasim (46) and Simon Barratt (49) to amass a total of 226 for 5 declared.

The visitors never came close but resisted Sibtain Haider (5 for 46) and the Weston attack to grind out a draw, finishing on 113 for 8 after the 50 overs. Weston take 11 points, City Works take 6.
