BRITAIN in Bloom judges descended on Crewe and Nantwich this week to judge the borough's entries in this year's competition,

The judges paid a visit to the two town centres plus Haslington, Audlem, Willaston and Wistaston on Monday.

The judges will be visiting towns and villages across the north west and the results will be announced at the end of the month.

"The local Britain in Bloom committees have put in a lot of hard work to ensure that the towns and villages look superb," said John Bloss, chairman of the local committee.

"Now we are appealing to everyone to do their bit and help keep the streets clean and litter free."
