POLICE are investigating how a man, whose involvement in an incident inside Top of the Town nightclub in Widnes resulted in him being asked to leave, ended up outside with head injuries.
The events happened at around 1.30am on Saturday, July 3 when a 35-year-old clubber became involved in an incident in the club and was asked to leave by doormen.
The same man was later found lying at the back of the club, in Cross Street, with head injuries.
He is in a "comfortable" condition in hospital.
Widnes CID are requesting that anybody who witnessed the original incident in the nightclub, or what happened outside, contact the case officer Det Con Julie Birch on 01244 613733.
