THE MEN accused of murdering Hale resident Tony Sinnott have been sent for trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

David Smith, 40, of Millward Court and James Cawlet, 35, of Blacklock Road, both in Speke, will be tried next month for the killing of Sinnott, a father-of-three.

Sinnott, a security consultant and one-time boxing champion from Arklow Drive, was shot in the head on the Shaw Road Industrial Estate in April.

Both accused deny the charges.

Smith is additionally charged with robbing another man of his car keys.

The trial will begin on August 9.
